Nick Donnelly

  Raised living between the statistically second most deprived and second most dangerous areas of the UK, at the turn of the new millennium, Nick Donnelly witnessed race riots and deprivation on the de-industrialised streets in a town that didn’t even have a bookshop, never mind a live music venue. He kept his love for Hip-Hop and dreams of being an artist secret until at the age of 18, he moved to a city to study film, despite his teachers advising him to apply to work in a factory in his hometown.
   Nick’s time at university was not much better, his ideas never used in class, he graduated bottom of the year. Unable to get a job in a global recession, he was told to re-train. Instead, for £300 he started a production company, making videos for zero budgets, within a year his videos went to 10 million viewers. Urban Kingdom was born.
  Nick Donnelly has since worked with 100s of artists across 30+ countries, collaborating with Olympic Champions, Grammy winners, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees and many more. Nick has produced and directed two feature films, and authored three books.
